Aside from the 5W, what else did you do to prevent tearing? What position did you use while in the water? It’s weird because out of all the painful things that could happen during labor, the only thing I’m worried about is tearing.

Ive seen people make it into capusles for swallowing. You didnt have to EAT it. I think the natural water birth is wonderful! Although I prefer GASP my c-sections. I do believe in natural breastfeeding at least the first year. And I have striong opinions on that I think its terrible when moms shove their babies unhealthy formula minutes after giving borth. Everyone should at least bf while in the hospital for the colostrum. So I can see how you have strong opinions about this.

But not all women have the same experience with pregnancy/birth. I suppose I just resent the implication that if a woman cannot have such an easy, painless, hospital-less birth, she does not love her child and intends to imprint that child with fear.
